You tell us whose birthdays you don't want to miss. 7days before each one we email you three card designs. You reply with a number and the words you want printed inside. We show you the finished card and the price, and if you reply “yes” we print it and post it.

We never print, post or charge for a card you haven't confirmed. Ignore a reminder and nothing happens at all. Reply “skip” and we'll leave that birthday alone and ask again next year.

£4.99 per card, including printing and postage within the UK. There is no subscription and no membership fee. Signing up and tracking birthdays are free — you only ever pay for a card you have seen and approved. The price is shown in the confirmation email before you confirm, and that is the price you pay.

Saving a card is optional. If you do, you are authorising us to charge it £4.99 per card, and only when you reply “yes” to a specific card we have shown you. Each charge is a one-off for that card. There is no recurring or automatic payment, and we never charge a different amount from the one in the confirmation email. You can remove your saved card at any time from Billing, which stops any future charge immediately. If we charge you but the order then fails, we refund you automatically.

We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Stripe, and card details are entered on Stripe's own systems. We keep only a reference to the saved card plus its brand and last four digits, so we can show you which card is on file.

Cards are printed and posted by our print partner. Once ordered, a card usually arrives within 3–5 working days, and occasionally up to a week at busy times. We'll email you when it's on its way. We can't guarantee arrival by a particular date — post is post — so if a card absolutely must land on the day, order with time to spare.

If a card arrives damaged, misprinted, or isn't what you approved, tell us within 30 days and we'll reprint it or refund you. Because each card is personalised with your words, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations doesn't apply once printing has started — but you can cancel any time before you reply “yes”, which is the point at which anything is made.

Don't use Hip Hip to send anything unlawful, threatening, or designed to harass someone. We print what you write, so what you write is yours. We may decline an order or close an account if it's being used that way.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your recipients and their details. Records of cards already printed and posted are kept, because they're a record of a real transaction.
